If you're feeling inspired, there are cooking courses and truffle hunting trips available which are great fun and a big hit with gourmet travellers.
The Antognolla Golf Course is set amidst the 1000 hectare Antognolla estate in the heart of Umbria. This championship golf course, designed by the famous Robert Trent Jones Jnr, offers golfers of every level the only opportunity in Italy to play on a course designed by one of worlds foremost golf designers and is true test of their skill and judgement.
Lake Trasimeno offers a range of water sports activities including sailing, windsurfing and water skiing. The islands around the lake offer great swimming opportunities and idyllic sunbathing spots. The unspoilt countryside has plenty of walking trails, from the leisurely to more difficult and challenging.
A large Tennis centre is located 10 minutes from Villa Capanne and has indoor and outdoors courts.
Local Horse riding schools offer lessons and relaxing rides in the countryside.
There are plenty of activities to keep children of all ages entertained and all within an hour's drive of Villa Capanne, including Tavernelle Water Park, wildlife parks, indoor play centres, the Frasassi Caves and even a chocolate factory!

Take home a piece of Italian chic. There are a number of local shopping malls and outlets within a short driving distance, boasting a number of designer stores. A visit to Deruta is also a must. This town is renowned for its pottery. There are many wonderful shops and factories, which you can visit to watch the ceramics being hand-made.
